On behalf of 5th and 6th Class in Straffan National School, we would like to express our sincerest thanks to Barberstown Castle and the Bumblebee 1000 Supercar Run for the invite to attend the opening drive out in Barberstown Castle.
All pupils had a fantastic morning waving the cars off and seeing all the effort all drivers went to dressing up as superhero characters. They received flags and treats from the drivers and to top it all off, Barberstown provided tasty breakfast baps to all the enthusiastic children from Scoil Bhríde, Straffan National School.
Following the event, pupils in Scoil Bhríde raised nearly €1000 in aid of Little Blue Heroes.
